IVVA – COVID19 Advice to Vape Shops

The Irish Vape Vendors Association has updated it advice to its members and all vape shops in Ireland. Please follow this advice.

Dear IVVA Member,

As you are all aware we are in unprecedented times with the current outbreak of COVID-19 not only here in Ireland but worldwide. At the moment case numbers in Ireland are still low & the risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 in Ireland is low. However, important steps can be taken to further decrease risks in the workplace.

Below we outline what measures each of you should take to further negate the spread of COVID-19 & ensure a safe working environment for yourselves & customers during these testing times.

For any employee working in retail shops the following daily procedures should be strictly followed:

• Daily thorough disinfection of commonly used & touched surfaces.

Counter Tops & Tables, iPad Screens & Keyboards – as frequently as possible
Credit Card Machines – as frequently as possible
Doorknobs & Handles – as frequently as possible
Any other surface or item used regularly

• No testers offered whatsoever

▪ eLiquids / Shortfills should not be mixed in store for the customer

▪ Vaping Device Coil changes etc  should not permitted in store

• General Good Practices:

Reduced vaping in-store
Wash your hands as frequently as possible between sales
Disinfection of hands after handling cash notes
Maintaining responsible distance between yourselves & customers
Sneezing & Coughing into tissue paper or into elbow
